Dr. Irzal Effendi is a lecturer and researcher at the Department of Aquaculture, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences (FPIK), IPB University. A renowned expert in marine aquaculture, he holds a particular focus on lobster cultivation. Driven by a deep fascination with the potential of Indonesia's marine resources, Dr. Effendi is passionate about developing innovative technologies to optimize aquaculture efficiency and productivity.
He also takes great pride in inspiring his students to explore and appreciate the vastness of the sea, emphasizing the crucial role of quality human resources and national pride in managing the marine economy. Born in Bogor, Indonesia, on March 30, 1964, Dr. Effendi earned his bachelor's degree in Aquaculture from IPB University in 1988. He further pursued his academic journey by obtaining a master's degree in Agribusiness Management in 1995 and a PhD from the same university in 2016. Joining IPB University as a lecturer in 1990, Dr. Effendi has since actively engaged in diverse research projects and collaborations with national and international institutions.
